Happy Wedding Week! 6 more days!
Happy wedding week to us! Big Spoon is home and I'm so happy to have him back! We're both very sleep deprived at this point and I didn't get nearly enough done while he was gone.
I haven't written my vows.
The decorations aren't organized & the "reserved" seating signs aren't "ribboned."
The house isn't clean.
I'm stressing out and I hate it. I shouldn't be stressed right now, but there is tons still to do before his parents arrive on Wednesday.
::sigh::
On a brighter note, I had a fabulous bachelorette brunch on Sunday afternoon. Six wonderful girlfriends showed up to celebrate with me and my BFF from High School came in from Knoxville to spend the night Saturday night. It was a very special weekend.
This is most likely my last post before the big day.

Venue Search Updates
Today was rough. I talked to the idiot brigade at the Metro Parks office again about Two Rivers Mansion. They are hands down the most unprofessional group of people I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Needless to say, we aren't getting married there.
I'm experiencing blackout and exhaustion, but I'm still going. These are places we are looking at in the coming week or so:
Hermitage Golf Course
Old Hickory Country Club
Bluegrass Country Club
The Hermitage
Belmont Mansion
Hazel Path Mansion
Rose Mont Mansion
Rock Castle
Any other suggestions are welcome ... I'm beginning to look out as far as Gallatin. I'm not too keen on the South-side. Also, anyone who has hosted a backyard wedding, please feel free to comment!
I am going to continue my search, but the next step is to consider my grandparents farm that is an hour plus north of Nashville or (and we really don't want to) changing our date. That would suck majorly.
Wish me luck.

Lost Our Caterer
I know things are going to go wrong, but when they do ... it feels just awful.
Today. I was informed that my caterer has been let go from her job at a popular local Nashville restaurant. This is a big blow considering we were getting a very good deal and were weeks away from finalizing the menu and signing a contract. The crazy thing is, the establishment didn't even contact me to let me know! I found out from our mutual friend and emailed my former caterer immediately. She is a friend and I feel terrible that she has lost her job.
So, we're back to the drawing board on this one. Fortunately, our engagement is long and its better for this to have happened now than later. Big Spoon and I are going to talk strategy tonight.
Nashville blogger brides, whom do you recommend?
